Stamped Letters to Congress take forever to get there due to terrorism screenings.
They will not get there fast enough. A telephone call is most effective.

True enough, but it is part of a package. I also mentioned phone calls. The fact is that stamped letters they get now is a trickle. When they start getting flooded they will know that something is up.

Cacique, thank you so much for taking the time to write this post. I will get in touch with my Congresscritters right away.

On the mail issue, AFAIK the screening goes on only for mail sent to offices in D.C. The best thing is to both call and send letters to your representatives' local office.

I agree a telephone call is the best approach at this stage since a letter would take too long.

Why are our politicians in such a frenzied obsession to grant amnesty that is so detrimental to our country? Is it because:
*They are bribed/blackmailed?
*They have infiltrated our government on behalf of foreign interests?
*They are delusional or suffer from other mental problems?
*They hate this country.
*They are fanatics for One World.

There are not a single legitimate reason to support amnesty. I know many legal immigrants who went through the system. Why should illegal immigrants - those who demonstrate a willingness to break laws - be given special admission? It sure helps admission to terrorists, the insane, and dangerous criminals who might otherwise be rejected. The message of amnesty is: break the laws and you will be rewarded.

Postcards probably do not face the same delays, and your message will be seen by everyone who handles the mail.
