I’ve had similar experiences with cell phone users. Beyond the belief that that one should not carry on extended conversations while driving with one hand occupied (stop it now), what I don’t understand is that some people find it difficult to simply drive and talk at the same time. In the Multitasking Department, It’s not exactly juggling while riding a unicycle and drinking a glass of water. It makes me wonder what other thought processes they can’t execute cleanly while doing something else.
I didn’t mention that I drive a van pool to and from work. After the first passenger gets on - usually in the shotgun seat, I hand my cell to them and tell them to answer if it rings.
