My nine year old daughter was elbowed in the chest by a boy because he was angry at me.
When we went to the pastor about it, he disregarded it and took it for fact that my daughter had hit first.
One brave lady told him that if my daughter hit anyone, she was the Queen of England. (thank God for this lady) The pastor was taken aback but has done nothing about the kid.
Just like the article, the kid has a rap sheet a mile long.
I talked to my niece who is a Police Officer. She will teach my girls some moves to defend themselves. Until then, we are out of all church activities.
And my girls are getting pepper spray.
When did we become sheep?
Let me give you a psychic reading on your pastor.
He cuts this problem kid slack because of his history/family situation and believes that if the church can just love him enough where he is, he will come to Jesus and so the rest of church has got to put up with this kid’s behavior until then?
Co-dependant pastor, unable to distinquish between sheep and goats, sacrifices the gentle lambs (good kids) in a desparate and pointless quest to save a goat. Your pastor is not doing the kid any favors by ignoring his behavior, he’s merely reaffirming the kid’s belief that no one really cares what he does (and thus noone really cares about him). And Christians are all saps and hypocrites.
What do you mean "we"? ;^)
The 1960s. The Peace and Love Generation - remember them?
Yeah. They’re why. Up until then, parents taught their kids to stand up for what they believed in, up to and including fighting back when attacked.
Now, you’re only supposed to stand up for what you believe in if it is something popular in the media and you should never fight back because violence is always wrong. /sarc
