The situation is, Democrats are not individually grounded by character, morals or values. They govern by poll numbers and focus groups and they will change positions to maintain their power over the people.. Democrats voted for the war when it was popular, opposed it when the tide changed (which they created along with the MSM), and they will claim their positions were right whether we win or lose in Iraq. It's all about politics and power for them.
No matter what happens, Democrats will blame Bush and Republicans and try to use any issue as a reason to vote for them. They supported the surge and blamed President Bush for not following their insightful lead, and when the surge started they changed and opposed it saying it was too late. They voted overwhelmingly for Petraus and now work to make sure he fails.
It's all about power. It's a political philosophy supporting big government. The underlying issue is not Iraq, not racism, not immigration, not pride in America, not taxes, not healthcare, not fairness, and not freedom. None of these mean squat unles they are in power. Being in power means Democrats can make people dependent on them so they will continue voting for them every two years.
BUMP. Great summation of RAT political philosophy.
