From President Gordon B Hinckley:
Well, I say this: We don’t downgrade any religion. (Wow! When did THIS change?) We recognize the good they all do. I say to those of other faiths: ‘You bring all the good that you have and let us see if we can add to it.’ Now that’s our attitude reduced to a very short statement, and it works.
Works: it's ALL about WORKS!!

ainquire of the Lord was to know which of all the sects was right, that I might know which to join. No sooner, therefore, did I get possession of myself, so as to be able to speak, than I asked the Personages who stood above me in the light, which of all the sects was right (for at this time it had never entered into my heart that all were wrong)—and which I should join.
19 I was answered that I must join none of them,
for they were all awrong; and the Personage who addressed me said that
all their creeds were an abomination in his sight; that those

ddraw near to me with their lips, but their
ehearts are far from me, they teach for doctrines the
fcommandments of men, having a form of godliness, but they deny the
gpower thereof.”
Can any of you LDS folks point me to the official change in attitude of the LDS organization? I would be upset to know I was propagating an untruth.No change in our approach to others. Do no forget that God condemns even the Mormons for doing the same.
D&C 63:60 Behold, I am Alpha and Omega, even Jesus Christ.
61 Wherefore, let all men beware how they take my name in their lips—
62 For behold, verily I say, that many there be who are under this condemnation, who use the name of the Lord, and use it in vain, having not authority.
63 Wherefore, let the church repent of their sins, and I, the Lord, will own them; otherwise they shall be cut off.
64 Remember that that which cometh from above is sacred, and must be spoken with care, and by constraint of the Spirit; and in this there is no condemnation, and ye receive the Spirit through prayer; wherefore, without this there remaineth condemnation.
I think this demonstrates, that is easy to miscontrue our thoughts and feelings on the matter.
