If Chinese version of Chernobyl occurs, it would be more likely to be the spread of a pandemic than radioactive fallout.

This little piggy ate "TD glycerine" (actually diethylene glycol) that was supposed shipped to Panama and used in cough medicine.
This little piggy ate "wheat gluten" (actually loaded with melamine to show a falsely high protein content).

They can just blame it on global warming and the media will be satisfied that they have the answer.

It used to be that American food was fairly well labeled: that by “Made In...” one could be reasonably sure that was the case. Now however with “Distributed By...” or “Packaged In The United States” we really have no idea where the product is actually from. Thus a real threat to American consumers at a time deemed right by an enemy - any enemy - in a war in which terror sees victory and “Death To America” as its birthright.

The importance of the pig in the Chinese food chain cannot be overstated. Its no wonder they are keeping this information on the down low.

If it's really a pig-killing virus, that could be a Bad Thing. The reason why flu strains tend to come out of China is because there's a mutation cycle there, involving humans, ducks, and pigs ... all of which live in close proximity, and contribute to virus mutations that move into human populations.
If this pig virus moves out into the human population, it could be nasty.

Might be a good thing if it killed all their pigs.

Meanwhile Romney talks about “partnership with China.”
Duncan Hunter is the strongest candidate who understands the China threat on all levels.
