There was an almost audible sigh of relief in parts of America's capital this weekend after a TV network said it would not reveal the identities of scores of clients of the alleged "DC madam" because they were not well enough known to be "newsworthy".

Yup IC - great minds think alike. See my #20.
Some of these names may be incorrect and careers could be broken.
But that would be okay.
In other words, the list is not scandalous or ruinous enough for the Jimminy Cricket-haters at ABC.

>Must have been too many Democrats on the list and not enough Republicans....<
You beat me to it!
Its’s all Clinton’s fault...JK
I'm fairly certain that MOST names on the list were Democrats, because they most often have to pay for sex.
>They backed down, and the attorney never named his client, nor did ABC.<
Ummmm....Bill Clinton?
HA HAHA, they couldn’t find Rove or Cheney on the list so its put to bed....
Gotta love those freakin’ NEOlibs
ABC can now use the list to extort information from anyone on the list.
What would have been the basis for this “huge lawsuit”?
I think you underestimate the amount of perversion that these people have.
..and someone who works for the Washington Times.
On the daily choas they were saying that gover norquist was on the list.

On the corner, someone put up this quote.
“One guy swore to me up and down it couldn’t have been him, he loves his wife,” Ross said. The man, a well-known member of a conservative think tank, was right: Palfrey, Ross said, had repeatedly misdialed his number by confusing the 202 and 301 area codes.”

I don't know, you would have to ask the attorney. If the client's name and number appeared in the DC Madame's phone records, it doesn't prove anything other than a phone call occurred. If it was innocent or lawful, I would think that ABC may be risking a defamation or libel suit.
You were reading my mind .. LOL!!!
It also doesn’t fit with Pelosi’s “culture of corruption” the dems are now trying to push .. AGAIN!!
Hope she had sense enough to have more than one copy of the list. And I wonder why she would think so highly of ABC that she’d give thhem anything. (I wouldn’t give them the key to the men’s room.)
“Must have been too many Democrats on the list and not enough Republicans.....”
LOL! I have been perusing what the DUmmies have been saying about this. It is pretty much exactly the opposite...too many Republicans. My own opinion is that is just money and power protecting money and power. What we, the little proles, would like to see happen matters not a whit.
Absolutely.
No worries for ABC’s male staff in Washington...they’re on Barney Frank’s list...
Not at all like that nationally recognized headline maker Marc Foley.
This is the same thing that Watergate was all about. Democrats frequent prostitutes. The Repubs went looking for a little black book in the DNC offices just to blow out some prostitution clientele. Nixon's downfall was that he signed off on it.
I wounder how times is Billy boy on the list
