***I know this can happen because it happened to me. I saw in a “dream” something that happened ..****

Me too, many years ago. It was like Deja Vu hit me, then 'wham' I remembered a 'dream' and knew the potential outcome.

I was with three other people in a car, I demanded we get the hell out of there NOW. It got to the point I threatened the driver to start the car and MOVE or else!

(we were parked on a dark country road in Wis making out)

So, what did you think would happen that you ended up avoiding?

In my case a person died, just as I had seen. Since I had totally forgotten about the dream in the intervening 3 weeks I had no chance to warn him, and even if I did speak Italian (he didn’t speak English) he probably wouldn’t have listened. There was another part that came true as well.

That reminds me of an incident that my cousin experienced about 15 years ago. She and a friend were in her car (she was driving), and they were stopped at a light, with her front wheels straddling a railroad track. She suddenly got an impulse to GET OFF THE TRACK FAST, so she gunned the engine and steered around the car in front of her to get off the track. Seconds later, a train came roaring past her on the track where she had just been.

Apparently, the crossing mechanism had malfunctioned, and the “arms” and lights that were supposed to warn of a train coming never got triggered. She’s alive because she listened to her “hunch” (though to her, it will always be that her guardian angel saved her, not her instincts).

In other instances of pre-something, (and these are, in a way, far more frivolous!), I have known way ahead of time (first dates!) that at least 7 or 8 of my friends or family were going to marry. In one instance (my brother), I knew even before they ever dated, and they were married 6 months later. With my husband, I knew on our first date that he was “it”, though I believe that kind of pre-something is very common. The same thing has happened about 12-14 times with babies coming into our circle of family and friends, its something I tend to get feelings about, usually a month or two before they are conceived.

My dad (a very pragmatic Irishman!) gets “feelings” about things all the time, and acts on them always. He is at least 90% right, its pretty amazing. He takes it all in his stride though, doesn’t seem to think there’s anything mysterious about it.
