To make it clear so that there’s no misunderstanding, the “law” is clear and it is good and righteous — like Jesus affirms and like the Apostle Paul says and affirms, likewise.
There can never be any dispute with the law or with God, or even with Jesus or with the Apostle Paul (and the other writers of the Bible who were guided by God).
But, this is all done by Scripture and not by means of some Jeanne Dixon (like we have today) running around saying “God told me so!” This is not the means or the method by which we have the knowledge of what God has said. I’m very carefully qualifying this, because too many people run around saying “God told me...” which He never has. It’s only in the inspired and authoritative Scriptures themselves, that we have a “God told me...” and not through some guy walking around with a sign saying that God said to do this or that. That’s not how we know these things.
And furthermore, God did speak directly to those people in that day. The Bible affirms this in that He actually spoke out loud and audibly to several hundred thousand (more like several million) Jews at the mountain (where Moses was). God also spoke to His specifically chosen prophets of that day. And there are *no more prophets* in this day and age. That is over with, at this point in time. The “canon of Scripture” is closed, there are no further revelations — until such time as Jesus comes back again.
Thus, there are no more opportunities for any additions to Scripture or for a prophet of God to come out and say, “God said this...” or for someone to even know the mind of God outside of what is specifically written.
That means what you are saying bears *absolutely no significance* to today’s world and *certainly not* in the Age of Grace. It has no bearing at all.
At most, all you are saying is something totally theoretical like I was saying before, up above — like “Would you have sex with 10-years olds if you changed your mind about it?”
When Jesus Christ comes on this earth and then does set up the Kingdom of God, upon the earth over all the nations and is ruler over every nation and all peoples — then — we will see the fulfillment of all aspects of the law of God, those specifically given to the Jews and those for the rest of us gentiles, too.
Since God has no longer set it up so that He’s working through the Jews and national Israel — that means God is *now* working through Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, in this dispensation. We will not see this happening, as you’re trying to suggest.
And if someone *does try* to do that, then, yes, we must all cry out and stop it. That’s exactly what I’m doing.
I think you're going too far here in telling us what God can and cannot do. One would think God could communicate with us whenever he pleases. There's nothing to stop him from issuing new commands if he so desires. And certain interpretations of the Book of Revelation hold that there will be two prophets appearing on Earth to preach before the second coming.
As I said before, we know that ordering the killing of children is in your God's character. With all respect, your simple assurance that he would never do so again is insufficient. But if you prefer not to answer my question, so be it.
