Sure, we all know the Mormons will quit sending out those guys with white shirts and name tags who attack our religion. They will never again use any opportunity they can find to point out what superior people they are...wink, wink.

All we need to do is quit attacking THEM....(yeah right)

“Thus would the LDS church join with mainstream Christianity.”

So all we have to do to be considered Christians is put up some crosses.

Now, THAT’s principle for you.

You’ve spent all this time telling us how wrong we are, and how non-Christian we are; when all along you could have just asked us to display the cross, and it all would have gone away.

It would have been so much easier had you just said so earlier.

Nope, you and John Taylor aren’t part of the Danite/Missourian ongoing feud.

Oh I left out the part that if you pray “with pure intent” you will be convinced of the truthfulness of my Christ Tree. When it comes again it will reign in full glory as son of the trillions of other gods and universes.

Of course if billions of you are not convinced, it is because your heart wasn’t pure or because of great sin in your life!

THIS MEANS YOU, YOU SINNER! Yes, anyone reading this thread, who doesn’t believe in my Christ Tree!

LOL, LOL, ROTFLMHO

I find it ironic that seven identifies himself with a vomiting gif. He cannot stay away from the mischaracterizations and twisting posts.

Proverbs 26:11 As a dog returneth to his vomit, so a fool returneth to his folly.

2 Peter 2: 17 These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever.
18 For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.
19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.
20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.
21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

“Let’s say that I tell you I am a Mormon, but I don’t believe that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God, and I don’t believe that the BOM is the word of God, and I don’t believe in celestial marriage. Am I a Mormon? How do you know?”

You operate under a false premise. If Mormons were going around saying they were Methodists or Catholics or Baptists, then you would have a point. But we all believe in Christ. Therefore, I do not feel insulted that you call yourself Christian. I do tend to get insulted when you insist that I am not Christian.

“So we as Christians certainly do have a right to discern and to proclaim what teachings are in line with Christianity and what teachings are non-Christian.”

No, you have a right to say what is in line with Methodism or Catholicism or Baptism, because they are your church. You do not have a decision, however, over my Christianity.

“If for example someone says they believe in, worship, and follow Jesus Christ, but they believe he came to Earth in a space ship, and believe that salvation is earned through good singing, are they a Christian?”

If this hypothetical person strives to live by the teachings and example of Christ, as you and I and all other actual Christians do, then yes, he is. He would not be a Mormon, and I would argue with him were he to proclaim himself one, but he would be a Christian.

“I hope that makes sense. Everything I say, I say with respect and compassion, and also with conviction. I really do feel sorry that so many people in this world are deceived by false or errant teaching.”

I appreciate your candor and earnestness. I do, however, disagree with your evident tendency to try and claim Christianity as your own, and not Christ’s.

But I want to play with you. The Danes are so much more fun than the Mormons.

We’ll invite my Hubby who is descended from the Jews who settled South America and mixed their blood with the Spanish Padres. They isolated themselves in Northern New Mexico from the 1500’s until the 1900’s. For four hundred years their archaic Spanish language didn’t even change because of isolation.

You would think perhaps they would still have some of those Hebrew DNA markers wouldn’t you?

Sorry you don't understand sarcasm. I thought about putting a /sarc tag on, but figured it was self-evident.

Got your attention, anyway.;)

“Irrelevant. We are not living in the middle ages when they did not possess the knowledge and technology we do today. Today we know better.”

Indeed, today, we’re enlightened. Which is why, for example, global warming is so obvious to everybody. Because we have the knowledge and technology to understand all around us, past, present, and future. Including all the lost languages of history.

“I have no doubt that the “apologists” will remain in a state of denial of these facts. Once one has totally sold out to a lie, it is hard to turn away from it.”

Which facts were those? All I saw were scientific hypotheses.

Calling your evidence “facts” is the same kind of logic by which global warming is now “beyond doubt.”

My TBM mother-in-law used to make what she called "danish beer" from barley grain, and give it to the local bishop who loved it! It had a heck of a kick, but of course, it was home made so it was o.k. LOL I used to be a whole lot of fun after a few glasses of that brew.

Ah, but there you go with the dreaded logic again ;)

“Don’t question, CC, you’re supposed to feel shame and be repentant to the Mormonism Apologists and shut up, sit down, and leave them to their heretical proselytizing.”

Now, that’s just silly. We crave a good discussion. It would be nice, though, to discuss something ELSE... After a month of solid Mormon-bashing by the same core of six or so people, it is getting more than a little boring.

Ah, the cross I must bear...

That would be fun to watch. Romney/Robinson?

The markers the Israeli geneticists identified and used to confirm the African Lemba people’s relation to the Israelis ARE scientific evidence. Spin is no match for facts. The markers are clear and not watered down with intermingling (though one Apologists wants us to believe that false assertion), but NONE, zero, nada of them are found in genetic investigation of Native Ameircan tribes. EGO, the assertion by the con artist, Joe Smith, is proven to be a big lie which the Mormon Apologists have staked their credulity upon and now have no footing due to being shown a lie from the founder of this false religion.

“I have this funny picture in my mind of Mitt rolling up to the WH in a giant Suburban”

For my family it was a 15-seat Club Wagon. We filled it at times, too. You should have seen peoples’ faces as we kept coming out...

We sold it, or I might see about donating it to Mitt’s campaign for the invasion.

That is patently untrue.

Yeah, cause that’s what Mormon missionaries do, you know. They ram those bikes right into those evil non-Mormon churches. Then they slap the bricks with their ties.

Tell me truly, CC, other than finding those people who aren’t satisfied with what mainstream Christianity has taught them, just how to Mormon missionaries attack your religion?
