Contaminated food ping
Thanks for the ping.
I met a gal about my age, about 60, who had really full hair, which mine is starting to thin. I asked her if she used anything special. She told me GNC for woman, hair, skin and nails. I bought some.
I called GNC, the vitamin company to see where their ingredients come from. He said a lot of the ingredients like the vitamins were chemically made by them. So I asked about one of the other ingredients, he didn’t know where it came from but said he would get back with me.
I just named one ingredient off the bottle, horsetail rush herb extract, (Equisetum arvense).
Three hours later he called me back, it is from China.
Am wondering here how the FDA grades this. LOL
Hellooooooooooooo FDA.
Bump!
system is broken
we are on our own
system is broken
we are on our own

Must have missed that memo, lol.
It’s just so sad that much of the stuff we buy from China are things we can grow here ourselves instead of paying subsidies to farmers.
No? interesting.. they think vitamins are dangerous, but not humans and animals consuming plastic. Only confirms my already low opinion of the WHO.
Ewwwwwww!!!!
Well, phooey, one of those is in EVERY pet food. Back to cooking!:<)
I bought a frozen pizza recently and see that it contains wheat gluten. I wonder if it’s an imported ingredient for pizza crusts, or if it’s a natural part of the crust-making process? I’m not going to eat it yet.
That's just wrong!!! YUCK!!!
I know a lot of herbs are grown in China and for centuries they were ahead of the world on how to properly use herbs for good health. There is one company that produces some good quality chinese herb combo's == they are very expensive... another company has knockoffs of the good quality chinese herbs ... but I digress, horsetail isn't a Chinese herb, just got me to thinking about them...
It’s about time. Took them long enough to figure out that this may have made it’s way into the human food chain. It’s the first thing I thought of.
Is there a compiled list anywhere of what “foods” and “ingredients” we get from China?
Whaaaa? Who do they think they’re fooling?
I wish I knew! Does anyone else have a list? I could google “made in china” but that would be too broad.
Check this out:

No wonder so many people are being diagnose with cancer or have died from it.
