If more Bush haters (both left and right) would actually find out who the man is, it would be better for us all.
rintense started a valuable thing 6 years ago, and it is a testament to her foresight that it still thrives.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR PASSION AND DEDICATION!!
"DAMN FEW OF US LEFT"
Sorry, they just jump into my head...
A good number on Free Republic, judging by their posts already have.I am not numbered among those.
I tend to think that the weight of Republican support behind a given candidate will grow once competition eliminates some of the also-ran’s. IE, whether Hunter, Newt or Thompson, if Newt winds up winning the matches and coming out on top, the other two will throw their support in behind him. Same for Hunter or Thompson. And of course, account for whether or not one may tap the other to be a running mate.
But we all lose if the winner at the end of the day is Rudy. He may be strong politically, but his roots are not made of the stuff it takes to be a strong conservative.
We are halfway to 5.000 posts gang. Keep up the good brawl.
Remember, I was (and still am) a solid Reagan supporter, and I read the things said about him by conservatives in his second term............and fumed.
Accuracy is all I ask. I hope that's not too much for the Reagan-was-perfect-and-every-conservative-loved-him revisionists......
When the struggling Mexican and/or Central American hears and sees friends and relatives 'striking it rich' or enhancing their lives and those of his children by sneaking into the United States, what else would you expect them to do?
In their eyes they have seen overnite economic success and unlimited opportunity over and over again.
The fault squarely falls on the County and State governments that offer sanctuary...NOT with the peaceful immigrant.
Don't hate or despise the immigrant. Hate your elected government officials who actively encourage more of it.
Now lets back to zotting long-time regulars.
Well, I thought my other response where I asked you why you didn’t just wait til they were born and kill them yourself with a $1 bullet, saving you another $500, got to the heart of the matter and spoke a language you would understand, but maybe you missed it in all the excitement....
I don’t understand your point. You were the one who wanted names and numbers. Post 2,456. You got them and now your upset? I supplied you with AFC ...he never said anything about a third party just undermining Rudy. But so as not wanting to put words in his mouth I pinged him. He’s pretty capable of making his own points.
My point is that I asked for a specific piece of information, the names of people who specifically said they would VOTE for Hillary.
You gave me the name of a person who you say specifically stated they would NOT vote for Hillary.
I don’t understand why you think that was a good response to my query.
It’s like asking you to get me a chocolate milkshake, and you come back and say “here’s the vanilla milkshake you wanted”.
Thank you very much for inviting me to say a few words of welcome. This event shows that people of different political parties and different political thinking can unite in support of choice. In doing so, we are upholding a distinguished tradition that began in our city starting with the work of Margaret Sanger and the movement for reproductive freedom that began in the early decades of the 20th century.
As a Republican who supports a woman's right to choose, it is particularly an honor to be here. And I would like to explain, just for one moment, why I believe being in favor of choice is consistent with the philosophy of the Republican Party. In fact, it might be more consistent with the philosophy of the Republican Party. Because the Republican Party stands for the idea that you have to restore more freedom of choice, more opportunity, more opportunity for people to make their own choices rather than the government dictating those choices. Republicans stand for lower taxation because we believe that people can make better choices with their money than the government will make for them, and that ultimately frees the economy and produces more political freedom. We believe that, yes, government is important, but that the private sector is actually more important in solving our problems.
So it is consistent with that philosophy to believe that in the most personal and difficult choices that a woman has to make with regard to a pregnancy, those choices should be made based on that person's conscience and that person's way of thinking and feeling. The government shouldn't dictate that choice by making it a crime or making it illegal.
I think that's actually a much more consistent position. Many Republicans support that position, but you don't hear that as often. For example, in a recent poll by American Viewpoint, 65 percent of Republicans supported changing the plank in the Republican platform that calls for a constitutional ban on abortion. That's 6.5 out of every 10 Republicans. And over 80 percent of Republicans believe that the decision with regard to an abortion should be made by a woman, her doctor, and her family rather than dictated by the government.
In any case, I just wanted you to know that many of my fellow Republicans stand with you on this issue. So I thank you, I thank NARAL for taking the lead in establishing freedom of choice for all of us, and as the Mayor of New York City, I thank you for being here in New York City.

And with that, I’m out of here. I can’t waste any more time as Rudy supporters look to drain the life out of those of us who are conservatives.
All one has to do is listen to the words that come out of his disgusting mouth. He says a woman has a constitutional right to abortion and therefore the federal government should fund abortions for poor women. Not only is that the most evil thing that any one could suggest, but it definitely IS socialist! The man is a socialist butcher plain and simple and bears nothing but utter contempt for the constitution and individual rights.
The lib RINOS won big in ‘06 didn’t thet?
