On your home page you say you are now lurking elsewhere and you link to Darwin Central. Perhaps it’s time for you to join your friends over there if you don’t like what FR is about anymore. Just a suggestion. Hope you find reason to stay, but.....
On the serious side, the socialists use this to their advantage. They know that if they have unfettered access to the minds of our children, they will control the country in two generations - I hate to say, but they are getting close.
this probably the single most important reason to reclaim the education system.
If Rudy or Hilliary become President, I'm afraid any hope of that is lost.
“”There have been several long-time FReepers who, possibly like yourself, were either never conservative in the first place “”
That seems to be the bottom line, if you aren’t truly conservative, then at some point you will come to find that you are not “like minded” with them , even if it takes ten years.
This isn’t a fund raising thread. Read Jim’s original post.
As far as people getting banned, many of them have basically asked for it. The posting guidelines are clear. The consequences of violating them have been made clear for almost a decade. Anyone who continues to violate those guidelines knows what’s coming and have no one but themselves to blame.
Damn, killed another thread.
No one can kill this thread. ;-)
I read Jim’s original post, but I’ve also read all the following posts.
It doesn’t bother me if this place is purged of liberals, but I think that net has been spread pretty wide.
And there is fundraising going on in this thread. I’m not blind.
It is the undead thread!
It is a manifestation of those whose hearts cherish liberty and the American way, following in the dreams of the Founder’s footsteps.
(OK, I’m in a poetic mood. I’ll be back shortly. I have to run an errand.)
Is there a SINGLE non-liberal who has been banned on this thread?
And the "fundraising" is actually some FReepers pledging money, Jim did not ask for it, and the thread had nearly 10,000 posts before that even started.
Yeah, because it's the one you didn't want to hear.
“”Actually, evos and DC members want to be banned because just quitting doesnt cut it. But being banned can be worn like a badge of honor and theyll get their little *Ive been banned from FR* laurel wreath. Then they can have their little shred FR and JR, high five, back slap fest.””
I agree, and that proves that this thread was necessary, and it explains it too, and it should answer those freepers doubts who are upset by this thread.
Is this the thread that got everyone banned?
I’m sorry to see some go, but if we had to sacrifie half the posters to get MiaT’s screeds off the air, then it was well worth it!
Hillary is scary, but Mia’s mannequins were more spooky than Cho writings.
No. It's because it has the same odor as the threats I referred to.
I think the most obnoxious of the Rudy boosters are gone - the folks who weren't just content to push Rudy, but who also sought to attack many conservative values such as pro-life and pro-gun - such as questioning Fred's pro-life bona fides even though they didn't give a fig that Rudy is pro-abort and belittled pro-life values.
But we shouldn't try to make this a completely Rudy-free site, IMO. Like it or not, the guy is a contenter for the GOP nomination, and it helps us Rudy critics sharpen our game to have some pro-Rudy threads posted, as long as they are content to not try and use FR as a means to bash conservatism and conservative candidates.
DG, in turn, you gotta realize that folks like EV and Spiff had been stalked and harassed by many of those who have been banned. So they are justified in enjoying the turn of events here where those folks are getting their comeuppance.
meant to ping you to post 10,995
10000?
11000?
ooops :)
