Political fundraising accounts have to be kept completely kosher, or the Feds will come after the politician. It's wise that he had someone making sure any reports were filed, and all the info the Feds needed was transmitted. I suspect this is why he hired his son's consulting firm. Why not hire a family member he trusts?
