I did not know he was a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. My first choice was Hunter followed by Thompson but Thompson’s membership in CFR has me rethinking my position. CFR is nothing but a front for those that would eliminate the United States Of America.

Ah, more conspiracy theory. It always “adds to the discussion.” /sarcasm
CFR is nothing more than a think tank where people debate foreign policy issues. But if you have credible evidence to dispute this fact, let’s see it. (sound of crickets chirping...)
They make a convenient target for the isolationists and trade warriors, and there are people associated with them that have ideas that I would strongly oppose, but I don't see the organization itself as backing those ideas, but rather providing the soil in which they grow.
the Council on Foreign Relations is an independent, national membership organization and a nonpartisan center for scholars dedicated to producing and disseminating ideas so that individual and corporate members, as well as policymakers, journalists, students, and interested citizens in the United States and other countries, can better understand the world and the foreign policy choices facing the United States and other governments.
I'm not saying I support the CFR. Most of the board are people who are not my type of people, although a couple are good guys. I just don't see a simple membership in the group as being disqualifying. I'm more interested in what Thompson would say about the issues people attack CFR for.
The CFR is nothing but a think tank with a nice magazine.

You’ve got that right! If you want to know “Who Controls America”, send your check for $2.00 to F.R.E.E., P.O. Box 293339, Kerrville, Texas 78029. I sent $10.00 for ten copies to circulate. It’s an eye-opener!
