old friends and colleagues like Pat Leahy, Henry Waxman, Norm Dicks, Nick Rahall, Danny Akak... it was a fraud for me to remain a member of this modern Republican Party, that there were only a few like Chuck Hegel, Jack Warner, Arlen Specter, Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins I could respect...

My favorite spokesmen have beome Senators Jim Webb and Barack Obama.

He has placed himself squarely among the worst of the worst.

He considers "global warming" to be a real crisis, and the war to be a fake one.

He is pro-abortion. He thinks taxes are too low. He thinks our soldiers are torturers. He thinks what is probably the cleanest administration in decades is corrupt, and he goes to join a party where corruption and fakery are the norm.

He belongs in the Democratic Party. I can't see on what basis he was ever a Republican. With guys like this on our side of the aisle, it makes it a bit easier to understand why, in a 50-50 congress, we find it so tough to get our agenda through. We never had a 50-50 congress.

I don’t know why McCloskey was a Republican in the first place. It sounds to me he was a RINO. I think it’s great another RINO admitted he was in the wrong party and decided to become a Democrat. I wish every other RINO in the Republican party would follow his lead and do the same thing.
