My guess, and conjecture here, is that the perp was South Korean (maybe Korean-American) and not Chinese after all. I keep getting the Korean connection, and the name
Cho came up earlier, which is definitely (if Romanized correctly) not a Chinese surname--although somebody could have goofed and left off a "u" in which case he would be Chinese.
I guess we will have to wait another 45 minutes or so to get the final word on the perp.
