"Call BS all you like, but I just spent the last several hours with 3 ATF agents. I saw the shooter's picture. I know his name and home address. I also know that he used a Glock 19 and a Walther P-22. The serial number was ground off the Glock. Why would he do that and still keep the receipt in his pocket from when he bought the gun? ATF told me that they are going to keep this low-key and not report this to the tv news. However, they cautioned that it will leak out eventually, and that I should be ready to deal with CNN, FOX, etc. My 32 camera surveillance system recorded the event 35 days ago. This is a digital system that only keeps the video for 35 days. We got lucky. By the way, the paperwork for Mr. Cho was perfect, thank God."

And to keep it quiet he posts the information on the Internet??????
Mr. Cho had proof of Virginia residency, checkbook (for a second ID), and his green card(which is, of course, not green). That is all he needed to purchase a handgun.
Very interesting if true.

Very interesting thread. He is referred to as Mr. Cho and the supposed gun store owner said he bought a Glock and Walther 35 days ago from his store. Who knows if true, but the poster looks like a long time poster on the site...
If the name indeed of a person involved in this shooting is "Cho" as said in that chat you linked, then that name is generally not Chinese but is Korean. However, what remains unclear is if such a person merely bought the weapon and passed it on, or whether the purchaser is the assailant.
can a foreign national, here on a visa, legally buy a gun in Virginia?
that is insane if it’s legal - how can you possibly perform a background check on a person from a foreign country?
i guess when they release his name we'll find out if this guy is for real, if he is... this law is gonna be changed and quick you think? tougher gun control!!! weee!!!! knee jerk reaction!!! woooo!
How did you find that? The user that posted it has a link to in his profile: http://www.roanokefirearms.com/
Wow.
Thanks.
