Not a terribly good comparison but I’ve been on bases here and there, and it’s amazing that they give a 22 yr old an armored vehicle with an M60 and an M2, with an M16 with M203 attached, and a sidearm. I’m frequently surrounded by 18 to 22 yr olds with enough firepower to level a city block.
As for concealed carry in VA, isn’t the law 21 and over, just like outside the campus? That would be grad students and some seniors, but not freshmen.
Obviously, a person who is going to shoot 30 people, some execution style, isn't worried about if he is breaking concealed weapon laws. My point was your comparison to the military, where they are being highly trained to use these weapons.
