Maybe you (and all the other posters) should stop acting as if an age group is the very same as a racial or religious group (funny how we can spout how bad Moslems are, but not college kids).
I'm about as pro-gun as one can get, but you bring up some good points. Packing heat at 21 isn't good for everyone. Looking back, I was far too immature at 21, and I joined the service at 17. I have a CHL now and many years of "wisdom" to temper my judgement...... Being able to conceal carry just because your 21 isn't correct for all......
I’m about as pro-gun and pro-original Constitution as you can get.
But common sense has to come into play. Drunkenness in itself is a “celebrated” pasttime in this country the last 40 years or so, especially for teenagers. So many now think it’s perfectly OK to drink your liver cancerous; that it’s “fun”. I call them drunks.
All the so-called “partying” tendencies of FAR too many collegiates is enough to make me 2nd-think about letting them carry willy-nilly on campus (a campus of huge % of like teenagers, not well-balanced by elder). My concern would be that that alone would lead to more deaths over a year - certainly more injuries - than these *rare* “mass murderer” events. Even as “idiot shootings” because they were drunk and holding a loaded gun.
