I meant to send my post #94 to you, too.

pretend? :-)

on the other hand, 22 dead at Virginia Tech. Details still sketchy. Possibly heavily armed gunman (violating existing gun laws) marched into two classrooms and shot up dozens of defenseless students forbidden to own guns because they are “dangerous”. Students leaping out of a 2nd floor window to get away from gunman.

Gun control is not just an academic argument.

It’s a song.

Sorry, but I am more interested in what’s going on at VT than discussing it right now.

I didn’t see you agree that Rudy came in first by 4 I said FOUR points when adding the 1st and 2nd place choices. Then why did all these conservatives vote for him if .... as you stated. It’s all in your minds eye. We see and hear what we wish. Perhaps that goes for me too but the FIRST place is an actual event.

It’s obvious, those of us who are pro Rudy (and I like many of our R candidates) are much more MATURE. We don’t have the need to post negatives to other R candidates. We believe in FREE speech. Isn’t that what Republicanism is all about. I suppose some of these “stiners” have a little bit of Democrat blood in them.

Is Narses taking a break?

You would have to ask him...

I see Julie-Annie as nothing less than a threat to my freedom.

Here is one...

Fred Thompson's Idea of 'Reform' ^

We nominate at our own peril someone whose only ‘executive’ experience is playing a president in film....

And exactly what did Fred accomplish during his 8 years in the Senate, anyway?

There are quite a few others...

Julie-Annie is a threat to my freedom and he can go to hell...

Again, you’re exactly right. It’s easy for some Christian positions to be twisted by the media into something laughable: our high view of sex, the concept of God’s sovereignty, the belief that God created “all this,” and so on.

In this case, it’s the concept of God’s grace toward a nation that is being misunderstood and misrepresented. If God, who is fully able to make His own decisions, thank you, decides to bless a nation, great! If He then decides that it’s time to withdraw His blessing, He is free to do so. He’s not the great Santa in the sky who only blesses — He also holds accountable, judges, pours out His wrath, and so on. Not capriciously, but intentionally, and redemptively. Perhaps 9/11, something done by evil follows of Satan (i.e., Islamic fascists), also resulted from the Lord’s providential withholding of His merciful blessing....

I can’t see Rudy going there to “pander.” He hasn’t pandered to any group so far. He speaks honestly of his view on social issues and let’s the chips fall where they may. If people just can’t deal with it, they don’t have to vote for him.

I never said that Rudy was going to visit there to pander to the evangelicals. To the contrary, the Sistah Souljah reference predicts that he will distance himself from his hosts in order to endear himself to the moderates in his party.

You tag-line juxtaposed with that image is unintentionally humorous.

Is the Republican Party now the “Conservative Party” or what?

The GOP has prided itself on being conservative since at least Reagan. However, what YOU need to be asking yourself is why YOU are on a CONSERVATIVE (as opposed to a Republican) forum lambasting conservatives for being conservative.

Maybe you should go over to WideAwake with the other Rooty Rooter FRiberals.

I had to look to see if what you were saying was true.

This thread was posted 30 minutes after the other, less Rudy friendly, thread was posted.

So you are correct.
