Imus, Sharpton, Jackson and Hypocrisy
Gulf1 ^ | 4/16/07 | Col. Robert L. Pappas, USMC, Ret.

Posted on 04/16/2007 3:07:11 AM PDT by XR7

One might feel, and rightfully so that we’ve heard enough about Imus to last a generation. But don’t “turn that dial” yet, because the stench that goes with this one is enough to gag a maggot. The Imus caper has nothing to do with freedom of speech, his employers let him go because they had the right to let him go, and despite their utter hypocrisy in the process, they were right. It’s the hypocritical Afro-Racism in this episode that stinks as high as a pile of manure in a California feed lot.

A friend of mine, in fact close enough for me to be best man at his wedding a few years ago, has repeatedly informed me that Sharpton and Jackson do not speak for him nor for most African-Americans. So, why does the media turn to those two camera hounds for sound bites? Because, to put it succinctly, the media “empowers them to be Black/Afro-Americans’ spokesmen” for the political left’s reasons and purposes. Those two could care less about the status of blacks, minorities, the poor, or downtrodden. What they care about is the sound of the cash register, “cha-ching,” as the media focuses on them and plays up what they have to say because the media and they have a symbiotic, “cha-ching,” agenda.

After trashing the Duke players on day two of that rotten saga, the Sharpton/Jackson duo had a jail cell all but readied for the players to occupy for the next twenty or so years. They were both beating the racist drum so long and hard as to behave more like they reside in a jungle rather than as civilized, born again “men of the cloth” advocating patience, understanding and support for all concerned. The two of them went barging in to the Duke episode as a self-appointed lynch mob, stirring racial animosity and hatred rather than using their ill-gotten influence to promote healing, mutual respect, love and understanding among the races.

The question that constantly comes into this writer’s thinking is, “When will the real African-American community stand up and shout at those two, ‘enough!’ and, stuff a sock in their mouths?” Or is the “real” African-American community as lackadaisical about doing something to ameliorate African-American racism directed at the rest of America, as the Muslim-American community is doing about Islamic-terrorism directed toward anyone who does not embrace their beliefs?

This writer, for one, has had it with the hypocrisy and a double standard where it’s okay for blacks to malign themselves and non-black Americans without being held accountable; for their so called, “entertainers” to produce pure, unadulterated, vile, garbage for young people without as much as a whimper from those two so called, “leaders;” and, for African-Americans generally to immediately hide behind their heritage as a repressed people whenever anyone points out their fallacious, trite and overused double standard.

Should Imus have been fired? In this writer’s opinion, yes! But those two pathetic, self-serving, latter day “plantation owners” do all blacks, indeed all Americans a greater disservice and the time has come for them too, to be held accountable.

This was a Clinton engineered hit job facilitated by the useful idiots $harpton and Jacka$$. The idiots got to promote their racist agenda and the Clintons got to take out one of their key detractors. As an aside, Miss Cris Matthews was very vocal against the first official Clinton president during Monicagate and it will be interesting to see if he gets taken out by the machine. He too is a well known leftist mouthpiece. According to Monica Crowley on her weekend radio show, there were no calls by listeners to Messnbc or cBS about Imus' early morning (about 6:15 AM est) verbal "faux pas", the calls came when a left wing listening post replayed the taped transcripts to the right people and organizations.

The left now needs to get away from this alleged race issue because of the anti-white implications of the Puke rape case. The hubbub over what the crappers spew also needs to die down because of things like the 1st amendment and more importantly the crap industry's financial support of all things left including THE revs, and it will die down this week.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dont hold your breath waiting Hoss.
The black community mostly agrees with Sharpton and Jackson or they would have been quieted long ago.
Your buddy who says he isnt being represented by Jesse or Al is BS’ing you. I bet he dosnt vote Republican. No, he votes with the rest of the plantation blacks. I would bet on it.
I keep hearing people say the Iranians dont back, Ahmanutjob too,but he hasnt been removed and he wont be until he goes too far and Israel or the US are forced to.
The hypocrisy of the language used in rap music and Imus’s remarks is small change. The real hypocrisy is where Whites are recognisd as racist, while white racism is not near the hatred and racism of the blacks.
Oh sure we hear from a few skinheads and KKK on occasion. both are less that 1% of whites. But we put up with black caucus’s black college funds, black beauty contests, black panthers,black churches like the one Obama belongs to, black muslims, and where do democrats run when they want the black vote?
The real hypocrisy is that blacks are not considered racist,when in effect Whites cant hold the light for black racism to run by..
In context, the I'm us remark is a brief aside ... a one liner quipped to his producer.
Nothing else was said before nor after that remark that could be construed as 'racist'.
Anna Nicole was pretty well done so the socialists had to come up with another week of chaff.
We can expect this right up to and through the election season.
FreeRepublic doesn't need any more I'm us articles.
As long as she can hide crimes such as abortion, as long as they can distort records on the past in progressism, all this hate the “ho” type hypocrisy and lapidation of the Mary Magdalenes of our days will continue in rap music.
When a nation’s women lose civility, civilization ends, it’s the end of it all. People worry about global warming, they should instead worry about their own soul warming and fuzzy feelings and nonthinking drinking of liberalness and what they do to neighbors.
It’s a necrophiliac corpse screwing society which hates and laughs at traditions. So be it, reap what you sow.
No amount of pseudo-Tohrah reading by Sharpton will do, quite the contrary, all are excuses to ignore the terrorist neighborhood.
There’s a weird part of this story not being talked about. I heard the original comments made by Imus & producer Bernie McGuirk. They interruped the sports report of Sid Rosenberg. Sid said nothing during the controversy. Just this morning, for the first time, I saw part of the Sharpton press conference which was held last week. He and his supporters were calling for Imus AND ROSENBERG to go. What struck me was: they didn’t even know the players involved in this stupid scandel and 2) Sharpton’s group immediately blamed the Jew.
I also think the MSM purposefully edited these calls by Sharpton’s creeps but it somehow got thru the media this morning.
Did anyone else hear this?
Wasn't this Imus guy pretty friendly with Kerry? Why no uproar over his (Imus's) rantings back then? It's not like he wasn't saying the same stuff then.
You bet this is about freedom of speech! This that I saw at NewsMax today makes me absolutely sick:
N.Y.’s Spitzer Blasts Raoul Felder for ‘Schmucks’
New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer is angry with celebrity lawyer Raoul Felder over “Schmucks!” – the new book co-authored by Felder and comic Jackie Mason.
Spitzer has gone so far as to call on Felder to resign from the state Commission on Judicial Conduct or face possible ouster due to “inappropriate” comments in the book, which is fully titled “Schmucks! Our Favorite Fakes, Frauds, Lowlifes, Liars, the Armed and Dangerous and Good Guys Gone Bad.”
The book contains many “crude and insulting” references to prominent liberals, including Sen. Hillary Clinton and the Rev. Al Sharpton, according to the New York Post. It also skewers George Soros, Katie Couric, Al Gore and others.
And the book makes statements that could be viewed as disparaging to Latinos.
Felder was appointed to the commission by Republican Gov. George Pataki in 2003, and has been a supporter of Rudolph Giuliani. Gov. Spitzer, a Democrat, is no fan of the former New York City mayor.
(that’s just an excerpt) Again...YOU BET THIS IS ABOUT FREEDOM OF SPEECH. OURS!!! EVERYBODY’S!!!
YOU guess who is at the bottom of this one. It ain’t ONLY Sharpton!
If a white racist like David Duke appeals to the absolute dregs of white society, to what kind of Black does a racist like Al Sharpton appeal?
Re: "After trashing the Duke players on day two of that rotten saga, the Sharpton/Jackson duo had a jail cell all but readied for the players to occupy for the next twenty or so years."
Someone should remind Al "Bloodsucking Jews and white interlopers" Sharpton and Jesse "Hymietown" Jackson that there was a certain class of white people who had nooses ready for African-Americans the instant anyone suggested that a Negro might have raped a white women. Said class of white people were known as Ku Klux Klansmen.
Al Sharpton = David Duke in Blackface.
If white supremacists appeal to the absolute dregs of white society, then to what class of Black voters do Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson appeal?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=flxTSt-rajI Video: Al Sharpton (represented by a pig) talks about Imus, Jews, and white people, then wakes up as a Caucasian.
