You hit the nail on the head. It would be one thing to apologize publicly, do some community service, serve drinks for the women's team he inslutted, whatever. But to validate Sharpton's claim as the voice of the black community by his appearance, he has hurt the cause of dignity for the black community more than any words he could have uttered.
Good point. I'm not a fan of his and yet felt somehow humiliated when he apologized. I didn't listen to him before and certainly wouldn't now. He should quit just to save whatever is left of his face.
