Thirty-six-year-old Jason Darrow was seven times over the legal alcohol limit for drivers of commercial vehicles.

This isn't a particularly useful fact when the reporter doesn't tell us what the legal limit is in this case. I doubt that it's 0.08. It's probably considerably lower.

DUI Law Utah

The legal limit is 0.04% or 40 mg/dL for commercial truck drivers.

0.02% is the limit for haz-mat drivers. Of course, this idiot will now be refered to as a former driver, as the punishment is far greater for commercial and haz-mat drivers.

IIRC, it is .04 and if he was over 7 times that he may have been driving during a ‘black out’.

But I doubt it since he tried to run away. If he could function that coherently at that level of intoxication he must have built up one heck of a tolerence.

It is zero, you cannot have anything to drink for eight hours prior to driving.

I believe it's 0.04 for CDL class licenses.
