My hero is currently taking a well-earned vacation in the Bahamas (spring break.)
He had his first drill (since being stateside) a couple of weeks ago; this was the "Freedom Salute" weekend; we had to miss it. (We tried to go when it was originally scheduled in Feb. but it was snowed out.)
Anyway, he said it was very nice; they were each given an American Flag in a display box and various certificates, etc. There were a few SHORT speeches, and then a very nice dinner/dance which he & Katie attended.
He's doing well in school and studying hard. That Army discipline is really paying off.:)
