Senate Democrats: Cowards and Traitors
Liberals Cost Lives ^ | 4-1-07 | MissEdie

Posted on 04/01/2007 12:42:40 PM PDT by MissEdie

This past week the Senate Democrats joined their fellow cowards and traitors in the House and passed a Bill that can only be described as a Bill of Surrender. Any legislation that funds wars in progress should be stand-alone Bills that do not have any other business tacked on to them, either political or any other funding issues. Senate Democrats and Senator Hagel (who, by the way, needs to join the Democrats officially) showed how corrupt they really are with this sham of a Bill. Senator Murray had the nerve to stand up and say they were helping the troops. Isn't this the same Senator who gave a speech to school children in the wake of 9/11 praising Osama Bin Laden? Apparently the welfare of our troops fighting for our way of life is on the same level as spinach growers, shrimpers and peanut farmers.

The other implications of the way this was done are far more serious. Two Sentaors are particularly despicable in what they did. Reid and Leahy, who have not one day of military service between them, want to take away control of the War in Iraq and fight it from behind a desk in a smoke filled room, just as a coward would want to do it. Just like Johnson did with the best and the brightest during the Vietnam War, and lost it. They want to remove from the Commander-in-Chief and his Generals on the ground control of the conflict they are fighting. They also want to hand our enemies the day they can celebrate victory on a plate. Maybe they will celebrate with them. Reid even had a Bill proposed that would restrict our troops to training the Iraqi forces and fighting al-Qaida only. Someone needs to tell Reid that the enemy does not walk around with T-shirts on that identifies who they are. How would our troops figure out who was firing on them? Way to put the troops in harms way Senator Reid!

Perhaps more idiotic, and more dangerous, was something that Senator Webb wanted to pass. He wants legislation that prevents us from going to war with Iran. So if Iran attacks us, he wants us not to be able to defend ourselves. I wonder if Ahmadinejad helped him put that together. So if a mushroom cloud appears over New York courtesy of Iran, Webb wants us to do nothing. He wants permission to defend himself with his gun, but he doesn't want the country to be able to defend itself if attacked by Iran.

The sheer hypocrisy of the Democrats in the House and Senate is staggering. They have not lived up to one promise they made before taking over both places. But they have done something which I predicted they would do: they have undermined our troops and handed our enemies victory. If the President vetos any Bill of this kind that comes before him, as he should, then it is believed that funding for the War will begin to run out in mid-April. If the Democrats let that happen and we have to start cutting our military, all lives lost will be blood on their hands. They have long given comfort to our enemy by being a cancer attacking our Government from within, along with their Liberal media. If they do not fund the troops they will have added aid to that comfort.

Then the country should be demanding some arrests and the charge should be treason.

"Senate Democrats joined their fellow cowards and traitors in the House"

Nothing new here, they've been cowards and traitors since the Civil War. Occasionally, The DemonRats will spit out a leader that has courage -- FDR and Truman both had courage -- but, it's an anomaly. As for national loyalty, the list gets reduced to just Truman, and he was a little suspect in that regard.

It is too bad that some of the Democrats aren't arrested and charged with treason. The media would have a sh!tstorm and there would be some political fallout but it would certainly change the focus of attention and force the libs to defend THEMSELVES for once.

They don't count. Democrats of that time and dems of our time are two different creatures altogether.

Current democrats are traitors and would sacrifice the future security of our children for their brief time in office.

Yes they should. Those of us that say so are called crackpots. But that is the truth of it. This great Republic is so weak that t cannot even defend itself against treason. But don't dare call them unpatriotic!

Actually, all the conservatives that STAYED HOME and DID NOT VOTE....are the real culprits in all this. I hope and pray they're kicking their asses for NOT standing up for the troops. By allowing the rats to control senate and house that is EXACTLY what they did...letting down our WONDERFUL TROOPS.

Not so different. They're more visible today due to exponential improvements in communication technologies. And, they've become increasingly virulent as the United States has increased in power and economic success relative to the rest of the world. But, that said, there aren't really degrees of cowardice and treason -- you can't be partially a coward or partially a traitor.

What Lincoln put up with isn't all that different than Bush has to put up with -- Bush just sees and hears it 24/7.

I fear that if that happens and our troops return home, the terrorists will follow them here. That means that in addition to the bloodbath which will result in Iraq when the "insurgents" take over that country, the Democrats will also have the blood of American citizens here on their hands.

It will be only a matter of time before the terrorists who follow our troops back here attack our citizens in the cities and streets of America.

Yeahbut, A "brief" time in office is all you need to loot a fortune and retire a rich man.

The key to great wealth in America today is to win public office or be appointed to public office.

Term limits, folks, I keep telling you, term limits..

Fire up your flame throwers because:

The election results that we now are living with are in FACT the best damn thing that could have happened for Conservatives in the past 25 years!

I not one that stayed home should regret that choice, not one.

We have become a nation of people that want things the easy way, and if it gets a little hard we blame others insteed of looking within ourselves and around.

Mid-terms usually always go to the party out of power, We the People" prefer it that way.

Had Bush the big Government pender and hiw pansy girl underwear wearing Socialist Republicans continued to control everything we would really be in a twit and all of you know it. t least this way the two party's may actually fight about things and not do as much damage as when we controled everything.

Also, the people need to witness first hand just how mean and distastefull these socialists, (republican as well as democrats) really are.

Murder of the unborn, redistribution of wealth policies, fulfilling the homosexual agenda etc just to name a few.

And with 91 percent of Americans believing in God I think we have them out numbered.

Sometimes a person and even a nation needs to stand up to its knees in it's own vomit and puke and to see and feel the errors of it's ways.

We are a nation that is in the midst of change, and change is always difficult and painful, even for the little seed trying to push it's way to the sunlight.

To do this it needs to have the storms and the rain before breaking into the light of the sun and a new day.

People need to get over the election results and stop whining like little children that didn't ge their way.

Yes, some are trying to disgrace our troops, I say let them. But look at the results so far, 30,000 showed up in DC to protect the memory of our fallen heros, the left was out numbered 3-1.

Soes anyone here think that would have happened had we won the election, I don't. I think we would be sitting on our victory.

Sometimes a good ass whipping is just what you need so the next time you are mad as hell and will actually get off your lazy butts and fight and I mean really fight instead of whining.

I for one regret that the RINO Republican party with it's Faux conservative RINO's and their leftist agenda got the message and stop blaming those who didn't vote for the RINO's.

I have said here before and I will say it again, I would prefer a Democrat who admits he is a Socialists to a Republican backstabing POS who claims to be a conservative only to become a RINO leftist Republican after we voted him into office.

And if the party decides to runs more Leftist Republicans as our only choice well I for one hope even more stay home until the party leadership[ starst looking at whet the real problem is, and it isn't the voters staying home, it is the party not giving us anyone to vote for.

Where are the men of courage, valor, morals and character?

Where are those that understand the papers our founding fathers wrote and believe in the concepts they put down fo rus to follow?

The problem isn't some stayed home, it is that too mant sold out their own values, if they in fact even really have any, and went to the polls in the first place.

Give us a real conservative that won't sell his soul and stands for what the conservative message of our founding fathers are and they will not have enough time on election day to tally all the votes.

Give us liberty or give us death!

Stay true to your priniples, they are all you have.

I agree with Ratikal, Term limits! We have to have the upper hand. Remember? "WE THE PEOPLE"! They seem to have forgotten that we exist except when they need our hard earned money for thier redistribution plans for thier illegal alien voting base. TERM LIMITS, TERM LIMITS! GET OUT AND VOTE! DON'T SIT THIS ONE OUT! 2008 is around the corner lets make the changes that need to be made!
