The contamination was supposed to be on the wheat gluten. Something white in the final product would be inconsistant with that. If the melamine was high enough to cause that, the dog never would have ate it, and it never would have gone out of Menu's plant, because it would have stunk also. The dog owner would have noted it. The melamine really isn't bad and takes a lot to kill, because it's just urea/ammonia.

The real killer is the aminopterin. Did you take a look at hte WIKI link I posted. It's a very toxic drug used here as an anti-cancer drug. It would kill anything long term.

I agree with you and I also believe there is more going on than we know (yet)... it's time people wake up to what is bound to happen if we insist on pushing out the farmers and start importing more and more of our food stuffs. This could be the canary in the coal mine scenario.
