Fayetteville FReep After Action Report
wolfpat

Posted on 03/27/2007 4:04:58 PM PDT by wolfpat

It was a mercifully cool day in Fayetteville, NC this March 17 for our annual harassment of the moonbats who are trying to demoralize our Troops. I was a little late (unlike the other side, I took a shower first), but cf_river_rat was at our usual place across from Rowan Park early enough to cover my slack. We set up the sound system with my amp and speakers and cf_river_rat's portable generator and computers (doubling as CD players).

On my way in, I passed members of Rolling Thunder guarding war memorials that the moonbats would pass during their parade. I'm sure glad Rolling Thunder is on our side.

Not many FReepers were there this year,as most had opted to go to the Gathering Of Eagles in DC. But Rolling Thunder and the Veterans MC made up the difference.

The moonbats didn't leave us alone for long. They had their usual parade, with considerably less of their participants than other years. And as usual, one of them tried to come over and start trouble.

But we made our presence known, thanks to ample sounds of speeches of President Bush, John Wayne, and Winston Churchill, as well as the Ballad of the Green Beret, and the music of the Right Brothers

Our FRiend cf_river-rat has a future as a DJ

Dstarr gave a good accounting of herself and the rest of us to the press

I hope StoneColdTaxHater will post a link to his appearances on the local television stations.

No Fayetteville FReep can be complete without an appearance by SC Swamp Fox and his flags

cf_river_rat will have pictures from behind enemy lines. This was successful in that there were many complaints from the other side about our music being too loud, and they threatened to have dstarr arrested for calling them "wussies".

Fayetteville FReepers Fearlessly Flail Foolish Foes!

Sounds like a great FReep, I can just hear John Wayne lecturing the moonbats!

Sorry I missed it, but I have moved back home to Florida.

One man in a truck "counter-protested" the whole local moonbat group (20 strong) of anti-war protesters here in my little town.
I had to wait in line to shake his hand.

I offered to come back and join him, but he told me he had it covered, and had never had so many people come up and personally speak to him, and thank him for being there.
He didn't know anything about the GOE.
When I told him about it,and what was happening in DC that weekend, he cried.
God bless him!
He had heard of the internet, but has not yet ventured online.
I say he does well enough without us!

Thanks to ALL of you for keeping a presence at Fayetteville.

I was wondering how GoE would affect other FReeps but looks like you all loudly held your own. And GoE apparently did get the word out to some local RT members to help out away from your FReep.

It was a great experience for us both.
I really enjoyed meeting you, and everyone else there.

March must be my FReeper activity month!
Sara will be staying with friends for the weekend, so I will be free to counter-protest the local moonbats this Saturday.

Thank you all for doing this, and the report. I have been a fan of cf_river-rat's for some time, so always look for his freep reports.

Can't wait to hear his take on the freep. I better get my work done, because if his report is anything like his PETA freeps I'll be spending a lot of time on here (grin)
