Taliban militants attacked a dam survey group consisting of four Indian engineers over the weekend in the increasingly unstable province of Farah. Local villagers and police intervened and engaged the militants in a raging gun battle. Three militants died in the volley of gunfire.
According to witnesses and police who spoke with local reporters, the militants attempted a kidnapping operation against the engineers. General Sayed Agha Saqib a local police chief spoke to Pajhwok news agency and indicated a local Taliban commander named Mullah Abdul Ali died in the clash along with two foot soldiers. A fourth Taliban, Mullah Wali Mohammad, was wounded in the exchange of gunfire. Police quickly arrested him as he was unable to flee the battlefield.
Police chief Saqib labeled Mullah Wali Mohammad 'a dangerous warrior' and 'considered his arrest a big achievement.'

SV....he is on your Taliban dance card....you might like to mark him as ACCOUNT SETTLED.
Great news.
He should set an example for preventing vice the Taliban way by dangling from a rope like a typical bandit.
Ah, yes. In Afghanistan, they are "militants". In Iraq, they are "insurgents". I love the way they slant everything, right on down to the smallest choice of words.
So his vice will now be prevented and virtue will be propagated thereby. Who could object?
Hmm it would seem that the Afghans in that region like things like power for the lights and satellite dishes....
I have heard that Oprah (!) was popular in Afghanistan or Iraq, God help them.....
The MSM is great at euphemism when it fits their agenda. I get disgusted at the constant pejoratives that always appear in articles about the WOT. Falluja is always "restive Falluja". Sadr City is always "teeming slum Sadr City", and Anbar province is always "Sunni stronghold Anbar province".
I bet it's a bit more stable now that they caught those two.
At least they didn't call them freedom fighters.
I nominate him for Minister of Department of Wearing a Blindfold, Smoking a Cigarette and Receiving Coronary Lead Injections.
