Shariah in Minnesota? - Radical Muslim activists go fishing in troubled waters.
The Wall Street Journal ^ | March 25, 2007 | Katherine Kersten

MINNEAPOLIS--The land of 10,000 lakes and that welcoming attitude we call "Minnesota Nice"--is becoming a window on America's potential future. Here in Minneapolis, one of the nation's most livable cities, hard-line Muslim activists are injecting an element that is anything but nice.

Troubling incidents began several years ago, when taxi drivers at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport--about three-quarters of whom are Muslim--started refusing to transport passengers carrying alcohol. One woman, returning from France with wine, was turned away by five cabs in succession. Refusals of service now number about 100 a month, and heated altercations have erupted.

In September 2006, the Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC) proposed a two color top-light pilot project to indicate which drivers would accept passengers with alcohol. The proposal, later dropped, would apparently have marked the first time that a government agency in the U.S. officially recognized Shariah law, and distinguished individuals who follow it from those who don't.

The article discusses the problems of Muslim activism and how they are trying to impose their will on non-Muslims. For example, "Some Muslim cashiers at Twin Cities Target stores have begun refusing to scan pork products, like bacon and pepperoni pizza, and insisting that other cashiers or the customers themselves do it."

Of course, these actions have nothing to do with Islam per se. The author notes that, "Ahmed Samatar, a recognized expert on Somali society at Macalester College in St. Paul notes that 'There is a general Islamic prohibition against drinking, but carrying alcohol for people in commercial enterprise has never been forbidden.' Similarly, Islam prohibits consuming pork, but not touching or scanning it, according to Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf of the American Society for Muslim Advancement in New York. It is, or should be, 'a nonissue.' "

The real cause lies with Muslim leaders who are jocking to assume more power by assuming ever more radical stances in the name of their religion.

The puppetmaster mullahs remain the core problem of islam, not the brainwashed lemmings that willingly kill themselves while butchering others.

So where are the lawsuits? No mention of any legal action against those who attempt to impose their way of life on the public at large. Why is that? Are there really no lawsuits, or are they just not mentioned? I smell big money to be made here in combating the religion of filth.

I'm still not sure who's worse. People who demand the majority give in to their ridiculous demands or those who cave in to them.

When a muzzie can't work, can't own property, can't vote and can't profit... they will have NO reason to come to America (same goes for other illegal criminal immigrants)!

They are not a religion, but they are an evil satan worshiping death cult. There are no good muzzies, except for ex-muzzies and the one's that do not believe in their cult training. Even these are suspect. Deception is a mandate from their god.

The real cause lies with...

...our immigration laws. We are purposely importing this menace.

Columnist Kersten, the Star Tribune's only conservative editorial voice, posts regularly on a blog that's probably the best-read feature in the Strib. Her posts always draw many comments.

This quote from the article needs highlighting. I was unaware of this legislation, but not suprised by it's existence.

"In Washington, the Democratic leadership is likely to seek passage of the End Racial Profiling Act, of which House Speaker Nancy Pelosi called herself, in 2004, a "proud" cosponsor. Both MAS and CAIR are stumping for the bill, which would bar airport security personnel from disproportionately questioning Muslims or people of Middle Eastern descent."

So when does "disproportionately" become not at all?

Minnesota is as liberal as Massachusetts. They created their Frankenstein; deal with it.

If the American Civil Liberties Union were truly a neutral protector of the Constitution, law suits would be flying. Christians can't put a momument dedicated to the Ten Commandments up in the Alabama State House according to the ACLU, but Muslim cab drivers, based on their religion can refuse to transport non-Muslims who are carrying alcohol?

Hey ACLU, is this not an unconstitutional act? Can a person in a private job in a public place refuse the equal protection of the 14th Amendment to another because they don't practice his/her religion?

Liberals are very quiet on this.

Those that cave. Every time that you give in you make it easier for them the next time.

President Bush announced this week that the United States would accept up to 70,000 refugees between Oct. 1 and Sept. 30, 2006.

The number of Somalis is expected to remain strong, if not grow, said John Borden, executive director of the International Institute of Minnesota, which helped resettle almost 40 percent of Minnesota's refugees in 2004.

The mullahs are not the problem. It is the "religiion" of ISlam. I urge all to read the Koran and learn about the history of Islam. You will be shocked and sickened.
The religion allows the mullahs to rise to power. They use it to "educate" the young which is actually indoctrination. The muslims are woefully ignorant of the Savior and even though they are told in the Koran to defer to people of the book (Jews and Christians) very few of them have read the Bible. If muslims want to be taken seriously as intelligent caring human beings, they must be open to dialogue. Currently they will not even consider the posibility that our God is a God of love and therefore they do not worship God when they worship Allah.

All the laws protecting one's religion and/or race are the problem. If you were to sue the muzzies, you would lose the suit and be labelled an intolerant bigot. And since you are not tolerant and accommodating to their religious beleifs, you would be counter sued and you would be paying big dollars for violating their rights to freely excercise their death cult religion.

So if the muzzies need to avoid alcohol so strictly, and AIRPLANES carry and serve the evil stuff, shouldn't they refuse to fly? I mean most US airlines serve pork and booze, so why do they insist on the right to fly?

They screwed up their countries so badly they had to leave, and now they're here trying to screw up ours, and we're allowing them to do it. If they want to live like that, we should make them return to their ancestral hell holes.
