Clinton was not an unknown prior to nomination. He was well known to those wanting to push the poseur into the WH.

Yes we've already established that the political insiders knew who he was - this was never in dispute, but the average man on the street had never heard of him.

There is no comparison in his "fame" and the unknowns being hailed as saviours here.

This is a matter of your opinion, you can state all day long that the sun rises in the west, but it just ain't so.

I was hardly a political insider in the 70s or 80s merely one who followed people and events more than most. Yet, even I had no idea who Duncan Hunter was six months ago. All the others were familiar but not him.

My "opinion" happens to be fully confirmed by the poll numbers.
