Great Report!! One note that the Swift boat vets were out with us. What was great if 30 left 30 more people would show up. We had to have had over 100 freepers and vets at one given time. As eeevil said the sleet felt like needles hitting your face. Happy 100th freep DC Chapter.

We counted about 12, which was kind of surprising. I figured that they'd have more people in town too for the events on Saturday. I guess they just couldn't take the weather, or are just demoralized from being sidelined for so long. Their troops are deserting and they are a paraiah without allies.
The put out a call for other groups to help them Friday night and none showed.

I've been waiting anxiously for this report. Happy that so many were able to show up in spite of the weather. That is real dedication. As usual, wish I could have been there and thank you all.

I personally had a brief partial tour last year of Walter Reed. I was in Washington, D.C. with a patriotic classic car and fervently support our troops and their mission (but not rules of half-measures engagement!) and had the chance to stop by.
I was able to get access to the grounds to visit some of our troops. And I can and must say that the bachelor soldiers whose BARBECUE I interrupted expressed no major complaints, in fact they seemed in great spirits and were glad someone had taken the time to stop by and personally thank them for their sacrifices--and we all appreciated those who had given Infinitely More.
I say FIX Walter Reed and let it stand! Nuke and Pave TERRORIST sites, NOT the memory of WALTER REED and this strategic and symbolic landmark hospital of our troops!
Top Army civilian: Walter Reed failed to adapt
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1804248/posts?page=6#6 I have posted a couple of "Wounded Warriors suffering at Walter Reed" pictures on that thread.
Possibly we could get a letter-writing (not email) campaign going to our C-I-C about this and our 'rules of engagement' too.
