Another way would be to take I-76 to I-79 and pick up I-68 at Morgantown. I-68 takes you back to I-70 and then I-270 into D.C. Jack's brother takes that route when he comes to visit from D.C. It takes him about 5-6 hours depending on the weather, etc.

We get there in about six and a half hours from here if we go north to go south. It's weird, but it's true.
