And pretty effective too in electing Republicans and building their party.

Really? They sure haven't done much in terms of the Governorship or the State Legislature or in my Congressional District, either. In fact, US Rep. Lincoln Davis (D), ran virtually unopposed in the last election. I never saw his opponents name until I filled out the ballot. The same was true for State Representative Bill Harmon (D). He ran virtually unopposed. Harmon has so many skeletons in his closet he should have been very easy to beat.

In my area it's hard to take the 'Pubbies seriously when they won't even field a candidate......

I heard its explanation on it and it works for me. He was concerned about soft money buying politicians and he thought there should be some accountability for it.

The way it came to pass in the bill was another issue.

Gingrich is not as Conservative as everyone thinks. He just wrote an article that sounded eerily like he was embracing a "bi-partisan" approach to solving certain problems . I'm not sure exactly where Gingrich stands on certain issues .

If that were to happen, his endorsement would not mean very much.
