Agree that the United States should pick up the pace of human exploration--and this would be facilitated by more unmanned missions to the Moon (and Mars). The PRC is set to send an unmanned probe around the Moon this year, and they predict that they'll send their first man to the Moon by 2015. The United States hampered itself with the International Space Station, letting other countries work on catching up, and giving Russia a breather to rebuild its economy so that it can continue its competition in space with the United States.

We have already sent probes to the moon, mars, venus, one on the way to pluto now,and numerous other ones throughout NASA's history, not to mention landing men on the moon. The PRC is way behind us but we need to stay sharp and keep our lead over everyone.
