Albright was running around behind the scenes at the U.N. trying to get the security council members to vote in favor of loosening the sanctions back in the 90's...while talking tough to the cameras...it's no wonder that France and other nations engaged in the Oil For Food scam...they thought we were secretly condoning their actions.
Dirty little secret to tell you. People like Maxine Waters et al do not think we SHOULD be fighting the WOT. In their world, we DESERVED 09-11 because "of our historic and current oppression of colored peoples".

Exactly. I was part of that military effort to enforce the NFZ and believe me, it was a war zone. Due to the skill of our pilots, aviators, crews and groundsmen not one was lost but that was only ever a missile launch away.
Saddam had WMD. He was only waiting for the sanctions to be lifted to go back to full bore production.
