I think I can live with TNT's proposal as long as they don't get too obnoxious with the stuff at the bottom of the screen. I suppose they could run ads 100% at the bottom with no race audio...just turn on MRN and off we go!

If I understand what Poole is saying, non-HD TVs will be letterboxed with the picture moved to the top. I wonder if this will increase the horizontal scope of the picture?
I wonder also if HD TVs will lose some of their "height" (verticality?)so as to accommodate all of the stuff on the bottom.

I have absolutely no feel on who to take today because BadYear brought a bunch of crap to the track and nobody took into account the fact that they're in the middle of a fragging desert. I AM positive that someone will "accidentally" get a set of real tires at the end of the race, though there might only be 5 undamaged cars left on the track.
