This whole bombing incident was blown way out of proportion. Bombings at the main gate happen every so often and will continue to happen. Since Cheney's visit was kept quiet until the last minute it's highly unlikely that there would have been time to plan an attack. Even so, the main gate is about a mile from the tarmac where Cheney's plane would park and he would never get anywhere near it since there are no buildings there for him to go to. Any travel outside the wire would be in a helicopter or C-130. I know the Taliban claim the bombing was directed at Cheney, but you have to remember that they make claims like this every time something happens. Every time a helicopter or airplane crashed, the Taliban claimed they shot it down. I can think of one time they actually did shoot down a chopper. All the others were non-combat crashes. This is pure media hype, nothing more.

Basically, Democrats are fine with killing the Vice-President of the United States. I believe it was the Washington Post that was publishing the Cheney family vacation plans, (secretly?) hoping for an assassination. I am beyond tired of this little ploy. I suppose I could have a guest in my house who started going off about "niggers" and "kikes", but that person would be out the door in seconds flat, guest or not.
