You left off one very important letter. It's not "vote" but voteR" that needs to be traceable to a real person. Once that person is identified, the secrecy of their actual VOTE needs to be secure. Note that it is the Democrats who are campaigning AGAINST a requirement for photo ID for voting.
I don't buy that, nor do I see a way to guarantee the integrity of elections without SOMEBODY being able to check out how people voted in areas of question. I mean, I've lost a couple of jobs along the way because somebody thought I was too conservative or something like that and I suspect the experience is getting to be common, so the question is basically what else are they going to do? We don't live in Peyton Place or the company town any longer and the ideal of the absolute secret ballot is basically empowering demokkkrats and other gangsters at this point.
