"The "All or Nothings" and Duncanistas on FR are would rather have Hillary as Pres. All in the name for teaching the Republicans a lesson"
In my case S.T., you would be wrong. I am not interested in teaching the republicans a lesson. But I will not vote for Rudy no matter who his running mate is.
I am very accommodating about most any issue except the issue of abortion. I would never knowingly vote for anyone who believes that an abortion is acceptable. That is why I'm am passionate about defeating Rudy Giulianni in the primary season, because I want to be able to pull the lever for the republican ticket.
I have heard all the arguements about if I do this then that will happen and it'll be all my fault. I'll hold my nose and vote for someone on trade, taxes or other pocketbook issues but will not make deals on the life of an innocent baby. Hope you can understand, I am not alone.

Rudy's tenure as Mayor was overrated. Crime was going down in the two years before he took office, thanks to Jack Maple and the Street Crimes Unit.
Remember: There is a reason why the same folks who vote for Schumer voted for Rudy. He would be a Democrat in any other state but the Sheeples Republic of Noo Yawk.

I see Hunter as a 20 year political hack. We simply cannot afford a another GOP insider who is too connected to govern conservatively. Hunter would go along get along and nothing would be accomplished regarding...tort reform...tax reform...entitlement reform...runaway spending...earmarks...vouchers. He is too entrenched to buck the system. He is another not so bright social conservative/fiscal liberal and thats worth about 30% of the general.
Thats why I think in many ways Rudy is more conservative and much more qualified to be POTUS.
He is not afraid to buck the system.
He is a leader unlike Hunter who is a follower. Hunter is not presidential material and has as much chance of becoming POTUS as Custer's Bugler.

LOL! I don't care if he drinks beer (even underage ... that's his parents' problem :-), but I'm not going to be responsible.

The problem is we have not learned from the past. So we will relive it.
First was Regean, but we got stuck with Ford in 1976.
Next, the first Bush let us down by raising taxes and making a deal with the Demos the blew and cost him in 1992.
Than the best they could come up with in 1996 was Dole!
Not to mention the do nothing Republicans in Congress that has acted like they been neutered since they took control.
Well not again!
I will not waste my vote on a another RINO. Or should I just say, a watered down Liberal.
If I have to live for 4 years under Hillary for the rest of the Republican Party to wake up. So be.
But I'm not voting for Rudy or McStain.
Oh and yes I've complained to my Reps about this. In writing and face to face. I've wrote letters to the local fish wrap.
So go ahead and tell me I'm a fool......

"I don't know if anyone else feels the same way but I don't believe this just started with Rudy. The tension has been brewing since before November. How many times did social conservatives quietly suffer through insults, being threatened with just hold your nose and vote R or you are voting for Hilary? This is getting old and doesn't work anymore.Agree totally. I don't have millions of dollars with which to have my voice heard, I only have my one little vote and some time to volunteer for a campaign. If you want my vote and support, you will earn it by representing at least some of my values and beliefs. I'm not saying that I require that you meet all of my expectations, just a good part of them.
I will not vote for a liberal just in an attempt to keep another liberal from getting elected. A third party vote is not, and I repeat not, a vote for Hillary ... and I will not be browbeaten into believing differently. A vote cast in good faith is a part of what freedom is all about. This may just be our best chance of beginning to repair the broken two party system. If not, I will still be able to stand before my creator in the next life and defend my actions in this life.

My standard Rudy vs. Hillary! chart.
Rudy--------------------Hillary!
Anti-Gun----------------Anti-Gun
Pro-Abortion------------Pro-Abortion
Looks awful in a dress---Ditto
I could go on but the Rudy-lickers will continue to be in love with the smell of him no matter what.
If he gets the nomination I'm staying home for the first time ever or voting libertarian for the first time ever.
It won't make a nickel's worth of difference who wins.

Good post. You've covered all of the bases. That is what appalls me; the support of Rudy even before the primaries. It is apparent to me that most of the Rudy supporters are not conservative. Their protestations of supporting a conservative in the primaries then Rudy in the general are lies: They are working overtime to support Rudy for the primary.
I think many liberals realized just how expensive 'saving the world' costs as they started making good salaries in whatever it is liberals succeed at. They still support those things they foisted upon decent Americans but they just don't want to pay for them anymore. I think that defines the Republican moderate. That is the core of the Rudy supporters I believe and the seed of destruction of the Republican party.
If the moderates succeed then the social conservatives and evangelicals will walk away. In the final analysis issues like abortion, the taking of an innocent life resonate strongly. It is a 'single issue' that is pretty damn serious. The gun owners will walk as well as the working whites who know they can no longer get certain jobs because they are reserved for minorities.
It may be self-destructive. But many conservatives have had it up to their necks with 'hold your nose and vote.' To the moderates I say: It is your turn to 'hold your nose and vote': For a conservative. Criticize the voters as you will; the democrats resorted to that childishness in 2006. The results will still be the same; moderates will ensure republicans won't capture the presidency or a house of congress.

His military background and military family provide strong evidence for a good wartime leader
In Hunters case all he seemed to learn was how to obey orders.
