No, that article says that Whole Foods is buying out Wild Oats -- i.e., Burkle is selling his company to Whole Foods. At least when I was living in LA a few years back, Burkle's biggest supermarket was Ralph's.
And it makes me sick to think that he is living in the home of such a wonderful (and rather conservative, BTW) actor as Harold Lloyd.
