Please realize that I'm not trying to paint you as a racist. I do feel, however, that there is an underlying bigotry when people are comfortable restricting God-given rights to certain classes of people. The urban areas are where the 2nd Amendment is needed the MOST!
My point in the post your responded to was that urban areas actually do require governance. Nothing more.
Rural areas tend to manage quite well without a whole lot of government affecting the residents.
As to gun control for dense urban centers, I can understand the argument for it, but it's a misguided argument. For one thing, it doesn't work. At best, it disarms the law-abiding citizens.
I'm glad you've demoted me from being racist to being a mere bigot. I don't accept that, either, but progress is often measured in inches.
Dianne Feinstein, a liberal, a case in point.
You have veered into intriguing territory here, intriguing because I live in L.A. And, in spite of all the drive-bys, gang activity, etc., I agree with you.
Sadly, as long as voters of any color or ethnicity continue to vote for Democrats and liberal Republicans, we will ALL lose 2nd amendment guarantees, not just the po' folks in the 'hood.
