To: nopardons
That add ( made by the NAACP ) was about a man being dragged by two cretins, when President Bush was GOVERNOR! The men were caught, tried, and jailed. The add wanted to smear the president, because he hadn't demanded that the perps be slapped with a "HATE CRIME". It was silly, because tghey perps wouldn't have gotten any more time, if it had been tried any other way.

If I recall correctly, at least one of those scumbags was put to death, which made the NAACP's ads even dumber.

Yes, I believe that BOTH of the guilty men were sentences to either death or life without the possibility of ever being let out; I'm not certain of the exact sentences.

But the NACCP's specious ad, was just for "show". Even if it HAD been tried as a "hate crime", there would NOT have been a change in the sentencing, which of course everyone who made the ad knew.
