Nevertheless, we aren't going to stop having abortion be a litmus test issue. I could never vote for a proabortionist.

I expect he viewed abortion, at least if he could have seen the scale it would one day be practiced on, as a far, far worse evil than slavery ever was.

Instead we have a right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Without life, those other rights are unimportant. Dead people don't worry much about liberty and happiness.

You one-issue voters are going to cause the downfall of the GOP! (sarcasm)

(I agree with you totally.)

one issue voter...

Thanks for your beliefs, HCM. They are the focal point for the salvation of the nation.

Life is not a "single issue." "Life" is only a single word.

But because the opposite of "life" is "death," then it touches on every single issue in America. It touches every single right and every single belief.

Dead people don't write, go to school, argue politics, fight for their country, try to buy guns, register to vote, or participate in a host of other "issues."

Life is not a single issue, because life it the foundation for every other issue.

"If a judicial nominee can look at a sonogram, the picture of an unborn child, and not see a valuable human life, I'm not going to give him an appointment to the court," said Rep. Duncan Hunter, R-Calif. "I am going to give him an appointment to an optometrist to get a set of eyeglasses."

I LOVE THIS MAN!!!

That's contradicted by what he said as mayor of NY--where he said he'd pay for his daughter's abortion... Real class act, this guy.

Giuliani is hypocrisy personified.

It was Lincoln, I believe, that said: "You never have the right to do what is wrong".

Would that include misquoting Lincoln?

Exactly nobody cares about the rights of the unborn child. I hate that a an unborn child has to pay with their his life, because their his parents can't be responsible for their actions.

What do you think of abortion in cases of rape?

Giuliani said. "I'd like to see it ended, but ultimately I believe that a woman has the right to choose.

I hate that term "right to choose." Like you can choose chocolate or vanilla ice cream?

How about "right to choose to have surgical instruments and a suction hose inerted into her womb, with the intent of destroying the human life that is growing in there."?

So Duncan Hunter wants his judicial nominees to outlaw abortion nationwide. Interesting. I thought he was against judicial activism.

There is no right to choose. None. Nada.

The courts have said otherwise. Women can choose to have them.

Enjoy sitting out the election.

You surely know it doesn't work like that. Roe overturned all state law that regulated / banned abortion at the time. A reversal of Roe puts the responsibility / power back to the states.

Judicial activism is what gave us Roe V. Wade. I love how some people are stare decisis types only now that the damage has been done. Personally, I'm in favor of conservative judicial activism to the extent that it undoes all the damage the liberal activists courts have done from the 1960s on.

It's refreshing to see so many pro-abort ghouls outting themselves, now that they think their guy is in command. You're in for a rude awakening, friend.

"It's a self-indulgence I don't think I can afford."

Me too... I'm kinda sitting here like a kid in front of the Christmas tree, hoping Santa will bring me the new "GI Joe/Superman/Billy Graham doll" to wear the Republican mantle.

Might have to settle for Barbie.

I've put the cookies and milk out... but still waiting.

Why do you label me pro-abort? OUY make such rash assumptions, however I was stating a fact.

D you deny abortion is mostly legal in this country?

Hahaha, nice way to put it. I call it waiting in the pumpkin patch for the Conservative Great Pumpkin. Well, keep hope alive, Linus. There's still a long way to go. :-)

Actually, the unborn has rights if mama thinks she wants it.

If she wants the child, then it's a baby. In many states, you can be prosecuted for causing the death of the unborn if the child was wanted by the mother. But if mama doesn't want it, then it's just tissue, like a cancerous tumor.

Legally, Roe stinks because it makes the human rights of a child depend on how a pregnant woman feels on any given day.
