Tim Hardaway - over covered in MSM - should have said he hated Republicans to earn MSM approval

I'm not defending Tim Hardaway, but can you imagine the MSM jumping on a celebrity who said he hates Republicans the way they've jumped on Hardaway? The Left says it favors diversity, and they do as long as everyone agrees with them! Otherwise, they're totally intolerant. Tim makes some crass remarks, and they pound him for it. Had he said he hated Bush or Republicans the MSM would be feting him for his courage. I don't post many vanity posts, but I really wanted to note this weird reaction. Hate speech, they call Tim's remarks, and they condemn him the harshes tones. But if someone on the Left says some thing vicious about Christians, Southerners, whites, or Republicans, he's defended as having the right to say anything thing he likes because of freedom of speech. Forevermore, the Left will now do its best to punish Hardaway for not sharing the Left's view of Gays and anal intercourse. Just once, I'd like to hear the MSM say of a Leftie that they crossed the line when they engage in hate speech.

Free speech? Since when "must" we "like" gays? He didn't say he "hated" gays, which is how his comments are being reported.

No, I do think he said he hates Gays. I'm sure I've read that quote and heard it. But regardless, he has a right to say that regardless whether we agree or not. The MSM would applaud him for saying he hated Republicans. They pillory him for saying he hates Gays. So they have hate they do approve of and hate they don't approve of.

Another casualty of the PC dichotomy; Dixie Chicks brave because they attack "redneck" Americans....Tim Hardaway bad because he attacks nonredneck Americans.
Free Speech my arse!!

I certainly don't recall the MSM ever throwing a fit about any of Louis Farrakhan's numerous outrageous statements, including.......
"The white man is our mortal enemy, and we cannot accept him. I will fight to see that vicious beast go down into the late of fire prepared for him from the beginning."
And Farrakhan is far more high profile than Hardaway, obviously.

I honestly don't care much for most them myself (Olbermann and Geraldo are fun to watch), but I would expect my boss to hit the ceiling if I said that on tv.

Yeah, the alternative media has to operate like spies behind enemy lines to finally get the word out that we have vicious kooks like Farrahkan operating in our midst. The MSM turns a blind eye, at best.

I am sure Tim will end up volunteering to attend a reeducation camp...oops, I meant a sensitivity class...if he ever wants to work as a sports commentator again.
Each day is a further education on how intolerant the tolerant are towards what they consider intolerants.

Imagine the same things happening to those who blast Christians, Jews, traditionalists, conservatives, Republicans, or other non-PC groups.

If he said he hated heterosexuals there would be no problem.

What really gets me is how gays get away with equating themselves with blacks and other minorities. They say "We were born this way."
Oh really? The world is full of FORMER gay people, but there are no former Blacks, Asians, etc.

Remember this line?
"I hate Republicans and everything they stand for", "this is a struggle between good and evil, and we are the good"
Howard Dean, 1-29-2005 talking about how he feels about Republicans.
Fill in the blank with your dis-favorite group. Its all the same.

Yeah, I'm sure if we think about this we'll come up with hundreds of public statements equally vile, venomous and malicious to Hardaways' directed at Republicans. But the MSM's reaction is very revealing. They're deeply troubled by hate speech against Gays; they're untroubled by hate speech directed at Republicans.
