No flaming? Sheesh, with these points, I don't think anybody has the right to flame anyway! And that's my take DESPITE being part of the 5-wide group up front.

That foot ankle injury looked a lot worse on the replay. Thankfully he wasn't hurt more than that.

Here's a pic by pic of the last lap I just did.

Unfortunately, NASCAR officials were none too pleased with the speed the Caterpillar Toyota reached on pit lane while trying to avoid the accident, and after first assessing the team a five lap penalty, they then decided to send the #22 to the garage for the remainder of the race. Blaney was credited with a 34th-place finish.

I watched the last 50 laps again this morning - DVR is so cool!

I think I have to agree with Nascar.

My first thought is what driver does not know when one of their front tires is going down....?

To his credit, he did slow down.

He was just below 150 mph LEAVING pit road and going back on to the track. So he did slow down. Some.

But not near enough as much as he should have.

Ken Schrader's new best friend?

I don't blame Nascar for being pissed.

He gets my vote for, "Bone Head Move of the Week."

I did not plan on recording the race but after seeing the Jr / Bud commercial..."Crazy desert guys!", I wanted to record it. I'm thinking I'll record the race from now on, just cuz!

My neighbor said he (this would be the hubby of the lady I've taken to the last two testing sessions, if you recall that) was going to "check out that Hot Pass thing" because it was free.

I told him, "sometimes these super speedway races can be a bit boring, but be sure to watch the last 30 - 40 laps, that's usually when the idiot's make themselves known!"

You should have heard the boy today..."you could not pay me enough...3 and 4 wide...at 180+mph...holy crap! You were right! The last laps...the guy on his roof...skidding over the finish line...do they do this all the time?"

Sometimes! Ok, now you have seen them do the high speed thing. Picture, if you will, those same 43 cars on a track that is 1/2 mile long...fastest speed about 90+mph...if you make it to the end, your car looks like it has been in a war...because...well, because it has! Short track!

Convert in the making! lol

Very cool last lap montage. Good work!

The boy is all over the infieldparking thing!

He did not see it live, but when watching the replay he was all over it for "Granny Pa"....convinced that Harvick must have been using, "that jet fuel"....lol

That's quite a nice gift!! Wow

Daytona has to be on everyone's wish list.

Personally I wish I was back in California so I was closer to Fontana and Vegas. Both races coming up shortly.

I would love to go to Bristol and Talladega as well.

My friend in Alabama lives right down the road from Dega. will get there one of these days. I think Bristol is higher on my list though.
