Some builders don't allow you to bring in a home inspector.

And those builders should be out of business for lack of customers.

Anyone who would purchase something as expensive as a house, without an inspection is... well... I don't really need to say it, do I?

Exactly. Like they say, wisdom comes from experience, and experience comes from a lack of wisdom. I have built of lots of wisdom from home-buying, if that's the case. :-)

You're putting an awful lot of faith in a home inspector. In many of these new homes the shoddy work doesn't really begin to show up until months after moving in when things start really going wrong.
