"It is sad when people have to play hopscotch all over the world to get away from socialist dictators. They have to go now before they make it impossible to leave. Funny how socialists always end up having to trap people because socialism just doesn't work?
What's sad is, people may be saying the same thing about America in the foreseeable future...didn't someone way that hillary is just chavez in a pant suit?

In January, Mr Chavez said that he intended to nationalise the telecommunications and electricity industries, as well as take a larger share of oil operations in the Orinoco River belt, which produces 600 billion barrels per day. Thats sure is a lot of oil. Where do they store it all?

Actually, that is what frightens me so. This great country has been taken over by the leftards and I fear that there are not enough patriots left to take it back. I guess I am glad I am not very young anymore. Maybe I won't have to see this nation totally destroyed from within. But...think about our kids.

Somebody has missed the boat here.

"but where would we go?" We would go down to the Capitol building and the White House with rope, guns, torches and other equipage and deal with the traitors.

I will admit I was being a little harsh. I don't think that they will necessarily be anything like an American conservative. If they are going to Spain to escape Venezuela then it isn't exactly socialism that bothers them. Also, if the Venezuelan upper and middle classes had cared more about opportunity for the poor, Chavez never would have come to power.

Jimmy Carter's friend. I have read some stories that Chavez doesn't like Jews. Maybe that would explain it.

From what I understand the last election was rigged and there was people who was afraid to vote for the opposition.

What do you want to bet that they come here, register as Democraticks and vote for socialism in America!?!
Deny their Visas. They can fix their own country. I'll bet you don't know what you're talking about. Think Cuba.

Chavez is preparing to take over as de facto head of Latin American communism after Fidelito goes to the great paradise in the sky that he doesn't believe in.
Also, watch for Venezuela to descend deeper and deeper into poverty and Chavez to blame it all on "imperialismo yanqui".

So everyone with brains and the means leaves and all that is left is the easily controlled peons. What a shame.

Sounds like it's back to the 1950's and 60's with this 'expropriation' talk by Chavez. I notice he's taken to wearing that little commie beret. With his fat head, he looks like a real goober in it.
