My new background pic for my desktop.. I have over a thousand hi-rez pictures of military themes that I switch around as desired. Just wonder what code pink has for their desktop picture?

According to the Photo Credit #18 (following the last photo) that sleek aircraft is none other than the SR-71 from the 9th Strategic Reconnaissance Wing . DoD image ID:
DFST8307618.

What is the plane shown in photo #18? That would be the SR-71, aka 'Titanium Blackbird', aka 'Habu'.

Thank you for the info. That's a very cool picture. I note that it was taken at Beale Air Force Base, which I believe is just north of us who are here in Sacramento. Very, very cool. Thanks again for the info, and my deepest thanks and appreciation for your service.

Thank you! I went to the Beale Air Force Base website, out of curiosity, and just doing a quick browse through it, I couldn't find where it was. I thought it was Marysville or Yuba City - very close to Sacramento. Thanks again.

I was stationed at MacDill AFB (93-97). I always liked that part of Florida. Beautiful sunsets on the Gulf.

I looked at the main site. That sub is NOT U.S. The silhouette is all wrong. Looks Soviet.

According to the Photo Credit for photo #5 (way down after the last photo) U.S. Navy Photographer's Mate 2nd Class D. Beech snapped the picture. You're right, it's a Soviet sub. Makes one wonder what was happening in the Atlantic at that time.
