So, is there anyway around nationalized health care? Seems like everyone is pushing for it - only difference is the details. Although I'm sure these clowns will make sure they are covered under some other program.
Why can't we have a legitimate conservative contender?

Gee, I thought that Mr. Romney was a pro-lifer by this point.
Doesn't seem very pro-life to me.

THIS is the reason I will not vote for Mitt Romney...or anyone else who mouths the blasphemy "universal health care", hurts my ears

Notably, Romney's signing of the Commonwealth Care package came in April 2006, seventeen months AFTER the great Day of Enlightenment on abortion -- Nov. 4, 2004 -- on which he claims that at the impressionable young age of 57, discussing stem cell research with an MIT professor (who denies the alleged exchange ever happened) led him to suddenly realize (duh...40 million abortions over the previous 30 years hadn't done the trick) that Roe v. Wade had "cheapened the sanctity of human life."
Similarly, the following report of Romney's "in (his) heart of hearts" support for the morning-after pill came in December 2005, thirteen months AFTER the Great Day of Discovery of His Core Values.
(My apology in advance to Romney defenders, who consider it a distortion of Mitt's record to quote Mitt's own words. My offense is all the more egregious in the following case, since it is a radio broadcast that not only features Mitt's own words but, worse yet, in Mitt's own voice.)

Romney changes position on "morning after pill"
by Martha Bebinger
BOSTON -- A new law to make emergency contraception more available in Massachusetts continues to be a political rollercoaster for Governor Mitt Romney.
He supported expanded access when campaigning for governor, but vetoed a bill expanding access, earlier this year. The bill then passed over his veto.
Earlier this week, the governor sought to exempt Catholic and other private hospitals from having to offer "morning after pills" to rape victims. Then yesterday, he reversed his position.
WBUR's Martha Bebinger reports on reaction to this latest twist.

Well that does it for me. I will not vote for the guy. Gulliani was just on with Hannity on Fox and there is NO WAY I will vote for that guy. The is a liar and does NOT understand the 2nd amendment. I will vote for McCain over these two lefties any day if someone better does not come along.

I am not sure this is entirely true. Commenwealth Care is the program that allows the government to subsidize low-cost Private Insurance for low-income people. The Commenwealth Care program itself doesnt pay for the Abortions, but the Health Care programs in which it is allied with, do as benefits typically provide Abortion Co-Payment benefits. In essance, This bill did not pay directly for abortions, it pays for 4 types of Private Health Insurance programs, which one of them happened to decide that Abortion co-payments is a benefit they would like to provide. I am not sure Romney would have had any say on this. (Though if he knew the Health Insurance Company would decide to pay for abortions, he could have cut them out of the deal).
This isnt as big of a home-run as you think this is.
